It’s natural to see the negative and bad but negative thoughts will lead to stinky thinking. First comes anxiety, depression, anger, fear, low self-esteem, the comparison trap, or even suicidal thoughts.

Optimism is really a sign of faith in action. Take for instances Caleb and Joshua in Numbers 13. 12 Spies were sent by Moses to spy out the land of promise for God’s people and 10 out of 12 see problems and a land filled with disappointment and danger.

Most people see problems, but few people see Promise! You see what you’re looking for!

Caleb and Joshua surveyed the same land and saw the same giants and problems but spoke in Faith:

Number 13:30 “But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.

What you say grows fear, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or Optimism!

Caleb said, “we are well able to overcome it.”

We usually say:

My life is full of problems.

I can’t…. or I can’t take it anymore because….

Here we go again….

Knock on wood…

I feel like something bad is about to happen…

Speak in Faith: (Start your sentences with a promise instead of a problem)

  • Today I will trust my God with my problems…

  • I can do all things through Christ….

  • God can resurrect my marriage, my life….

  • God is my provider so I will trust and turn to Him for help…

Caleb had Joshua to help encourage him and we are here for you. Join a small group or come to one of our services. We are better when you are present, your life matters.
