A Vision To Change Lives

Our purpose is to bring glory to God by leading people to reproduce disciples of Jesus Christ of all nations through intentional discipleship (The Model of Jesus Christ) by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the heartbeat of Jesus model was built on three underlying principles: Intentional, Relational, Investment. Everything Jesus did with the disciples was intentional so that they would carry out His masterful plan. Therefore, our goal is not to create another program but rather to teach God’s people to “make disciples of Jesus” as Jesus did with the twelve during His earthly ministry.

& Beliefs

THe beginnings

Our purpose is to bring glory to God by leading people to reproduce disciples of Jesus Christ of all nations through intentional discipleship (The Model of Jesus Christ) by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe the heartbeat of Jesus model was built on three underlying principles: Intentional, Relational, Investment. Everything Jesus did with the disciples was intentional so that they would carry out His masterful plan. Therefore, our goal is not to create another program but rather to teach God’s people to “make disciples of Jesus” as Jesus did with the twelve during His earthly ministry.

Our Core Beliefs

THE SCRIPTURES – We believe the Old and New Testaments, as originally written, to be inspired of God and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter1:20-21)

THE GODHEAD – We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three person; Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God, having the same nature and attributes. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14, John 1:1, John 4:24)

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST – We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God; having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He died on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin and was resurrected bodily and ascended in Heaven where He performs His present ministry of intercession for the believers. We believe in His personal imminent return to earth. (John 1:1-4, 14, 18; Luke 1:34-35, Romans 3:24-26; Romans 8:34, Isaiah 9:6 Isaiah 7:14, John 3:14-17)

THE HOLY SPIRIT – We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells the believer at the moment of the new birth, seals and sets believers apart unto a holy life; that He keeps and empowers believer’s day by day; that He is the Teacher of the Work of God and guide for our daily life. (John 16:7-11, I Corinthians 12:13; I Corinthians 2:10-12, John 14:16-18, Ephesians 4:30)

MAN – We believe man was created innocent and pure; Adam fell through sin of disobedience; and thereby all mankind is corrupted in body, mind and spirit; therefore, all need redemption. (Genesis 1:17; Genesis 3:1-14; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10-18; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3)

SALVATION – We believe salvation is by grace, a gift of God apart from works. It is through personal faith in Christ as Savior (Propitiatory Sacrifice) and risen Lord. All who receive Him are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. All who are saved will be kept forever. Though God will not overlook sin in His children, but will chasten and correct them in love, never-the-less, He pronounces that there is “therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” We are given eternal life.  (Romans 8:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Ephesians 1:7; John 1:12; John 3:16-17; Hebrews 12:6)

THE CHURCH – We believe that the true church, called in the Scriptures the Body of Christ, consists of every person who has been born again. It has been commissioned by Christ to take the message of the gospel unto the uttermost parts of the earth. Local churches are groups of redeemed individuals joined together for worship, instruction, fellowship and service (Colossians 1:18-19; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:46-47)

ORDINANCES – We believe Christ instituted two ordinances; namely, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 8:36-39; Matthew 28:19; Colossians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 11:26-28; Luke 22:14-20)

SATAN – We believe God created a great host of angels, and Satan through pride, led a host of them to sin, and was cast out of Heaven. Satan became the god of this world, the prince of the power of the air. He is the arch enemy of the believer and endeavors to blind the minds of mankind. (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ephesians 2:2-3; Ephesians 6:12; I Peter 5;8; Corinthians 4:4)

FUTURE – We believe in the personal, pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will come for His saints to gather them unto Himself and He will return with His saints to judge the nations and to establish upon the earth His Messianic Kingdom. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just to eternal abode in the glory of His presence and in the bodily resurrection of the unjust unto judgement and everlasting punishment in Hell. (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Matthew 25:31-34; Revelation 20:4-6; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-15)

TONGUES - We believe tongues was a sign for an unbeliever and used as a means to communicate the power of God, the gospel, as individuals were given the power to speak in an unknown tongue of someone’s common language who needed to hear the gospel. This Spiritual gift was never intended to be a source of Spiritual life to a believer and should not be a tool used to measure someone’s maturity or to cause division. If the gift is used it is to be done with an interpreter and in and orderly non-divisive means with no more than three. Love is the greater motivator for the Believer. Acts 2:1-11, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13; 14:1-39

Baptism in the Holy Spirit-We believe the Spirit Baptism was promised by Christ for the believer to have the power to live a Christ centered and fulfilled life. It occurs with salvation for all believers. Matthew 3:11, Luke 11:3, Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 2:33, 8:17, 10:44-46, 19:6,     1 Corinthians 12:13.

CHURCH GOVERNMENT - We believe Spiritual Leaders/Elders, men, are called to lead the church to be Christ centered, consumed and commissioned for making disciples of Jesus. These Spiritual leaders provide Bible Vision, Integrity in Christ, and accountability through Christ Centered Shepherding, teaching and decision making for and with the local family of faith. The general body will only vote on matters the Elders deem appropriate to carry to them.  1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4

ETERNAL LIFE - Jesus promised eternal life to all who would believe in Him for salvation. If saved, we are indwelt by the Spirit for righteous living or Christ-likeness. The believer grows in Christlikeness through an authentic relationship with Christ. If the believer sins and are saved they will be convicted by the Spirit and face discipline from the Lord that should lead to confession. However, if someone claims to be saved and continues in sin without conviction and discipline it becomes evidence that he or she may have never been genuinely saved and should seriously examine themselves to see if they are genuinely in the faith. John 3:16, 1 John 1:2, 1 John 1:9, Hebrews 12:5-8, 2 Corinthians 13:5.

Please note this is not an exhaustive list of our beliefs or scriptures associated with them.
